Why Solar Attracts Pests
There's a warm, sheltered gap under your solar panels — and birds love it. Within months of install, pigeons, sparrows, mynas, possums or rats move into that gap to nest. Their droppings damage the panels and wiring underneath, chewed cables are a common warranty claim, and the nesting material packed under the panels becomes a fire risk. (We don't install solar panels — we bird-proof the ones you already have.)
Mesh: 304 stainless steel, UV-stable and rust-resistant, clipped around the edge of every panel. The clips grip the panel frame — no drilling, no holes in your roof, and no effect on your panel or inverter warranty.
Pricing starts from $23 per linear metre installed, priced per metre of array perimeter. Bundle it with full gutter mesh in the same visit and you only pay one call-out. You get a fixed written price within 24 hours — no high-pressure sales.

Pests We Stop
The same 304 stainless steel perimeter mesh excludes every species that nests under solar arrays in Australia. We clear any existing nesting and droppings first, then seal the cavity.
Most common: The number-one solar pest in Australian metros. They roost in pairs, defecate constantly and bring in nesting twigs. The stainless mesh excludes them permanently.
Rodents: Often arrive after pigeons because the nesting material is a food source. They chew cabling. The stainless mesh keeps rodents out of the cavity.
Small birds: Small enough to nest inside panel framing — a tight aperture keeps them out. Common in older suburbs.
Invasive: Aggressive invasive species that displace native birds. The same stainless steel mesh shuts them out of the array.
Performance: The mesh clips around the panel frame perimeter, not over the active face. Airflow under the array is preserved and no part of the panel is shaded.
What You Get
UV-stable, corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel mesh clipped to the perimeter of every panel. It doesn't rust-bleed or discolour over time the way cheap galvanised wire does.
The same 20-year product and 20-year installation warranty as our gutter guard installation — in writing at handover.
Clips fasten to the panel frame with no drilling and no holes in the roof, so the system does not affect your panel or inverter warranty, and it doesn't touch your STC eligibility.
We clear the under-panel zone, remove old nesting and droppings, and replace any heavily soiled insulation — then fit the mesh so the cavity is sealed clean.
Most homes with solar also have leaf-prone gutters. We fit the solar perimeter mesh and full gutter mesh in the same visit — one crew, one call-out, no second trade.
$20M public liability and full workers compensation on every job, every state. Certificate of currency available on request. Plus a photo and video report of the finished work.
Our Process
A standard residential array is usually done in a few hours. Larger systems and bundled gutter-mesh jobs may take a full day.
Call us or use the quote form with your address and the number of panels. We measure your array perimeter from aerial imagery — no need to be home for the quote.
You receive a written, fixed-price quote within 24 hours — priced per metre of array perimeter, with the option to bundle full gutter mesh in the same visit.
Once your deposit is paid, we finalise your colour selection, order the parts, and stay in touch. Installs typically run about 4 weeks from your deposit date. As soon as your parts arrive, we call to lock in an installation date that suits us both.
We clear existing nesting and droppings, cut the 304 stainless mesh to your panel layout, and clip it to the frame perimeter — no drilling. You get a photo and video report of the finished work.
Walk-through of the finished install, written 20-year product + 20-year installation warranty handover, and your photo/video report.
Transparent Pricing
Priced per metre of array perimeter — not per panel. No call-out fee, no inspection fee.

Customer service was outstanding, smooth and reliable from initial contact to installation. The quality of the protection is excellent — we have had no more birds around our gutters since installation. Highly recommend.
FAQ
No. The clips fasten to the panel frame perimeter — no drilling into the panel, no holes in the roof, no shading of the active surface — so it does not affect your panel or inverter warranty.
From $23 per linear metre, supplied and installed. It's priced per metre of array perimeter, not per panel. A typical residential job is $1,500–$2,500, and we can bundle it with full gutter mesh in the same visit.
Birds and possums get in through the open gap around the perimeter of the array, so the mesh follows that perimeter. Measuring the perimeter is the fair way to price it — a tight panel block can have a shorter perimeter than a spread-out layout.
304 stainless steel — UV-stable and corrosion-resistant, so it doesn't rust-bleed or discolour like cheap galvanised wire. The clip system is non-penetrative and can be unclipped if a panel ever needs to come off for service, then re-fitted.
20-year product warranty + 20-year installation warranty — the same as our gutter guard installation, handed over in writing.
Most metros are scheduled within 5 to 10 business days of quote acceptance. Regional jobs may take 2 to 3 weeks depending on installer rotation.
304 stainless steel mesh clipped to every panel, fitted by fully insured installers with no drilling, backed by a 20-year product + 20-year installation warranty. Mesh + gutter line in one visit. From $23 per linear metre.
